Welcome to my 2012 project, which for this year is a Project 366! My aim for my page is to publish one photo everyday that depicts what is happening in my life. The idea is to keep this as a record, later in printed form, to enjoy years down the track.

Day 209 - On the Road
Today's Photo A Day July project was "On the Road" and so being time poor, I went literal. Here is the wheel of my Mazda, 'on the road'. Coincidentally my family was on the road this afternoon, driving to Canberra to celebrate Henry's second birthday with lunch tomorrow! Friday and hitting the road really do go together for my family with all of us doing the Canberra / Sydney run regularly!

Day 102 - Orange Splendour
Another item on my to do list for this week was to give the Commodore a bath and to take some photos so that we can get around to selling it. Here she is in all her orange splendour, ready to be listed online... well as soon as Dale gets his car back which is a long and frustrating story... so for now she gets to stay :)

Day 72 - Dale's New Car for 2012
After a long day driving home from Melbourne, Dale finally arrived home with the BMW that he has waited weeks for. As always we needed the traditional car photo to be taken and I have to say that I am sensing some deja vu. Check out a very similar post to one I wrote last year here and you will see that Dale is still keeping up his average of one new car per year!

Day 67 - For You!
This is one of Henry's latest little rituals; when we arrive home he runs to the daisies growing along the side of the driveway, calls out 'flower!' in a delighted little voice and promptly picks one for me, or whoever else happens to be with us. Henry... you have already realised the power of giving flowers!

Day 66 - Photo Day
I think when we get our school photos back then I may swap my picture for the above one, which really isn't very exciting. After a morning of running late, with an extra nappy change thrown in that was a bit unexpected, followed by Dale's missing keys, I jumped in the car knowing that I would be late. Staff photos were at 8.45! Finally I got to school, no parking spaces out in the street, none left in the staff car park which wouldn't have resulted in my standing in mud up to my ankles, I had to drive around the corner to the small carpark at the sports field. I finally got into the school hall as the photographer snapped the last picture. He kindly took another, so that I could be in it :)

Day 35 - Car Shopping
So with the boat sold in the morning, the afternoon was left open for a bit of car shopping for Dale. With a bit of an idea of the car he wanted, we went and looked at two; one in Thornleigh and the other in Leichhardt. I enjoyed the drive from Thornleigh to Leichhardt, as we came into the city the opposite way that I am used to. Driving over the Harbour, we saw the Diamond Princess docked and waiting. I don't think I have ever actually seen such a huge ocean liner like that - absolutely huge, but I wasn't ready with my camera! I did take a bunch of interesting shots, however crossing the Anzac Bridge and this is one of them. Although we did not drive away with a new car, Dale did get a better idea of which car he wants and Henry had a great afternoon playing with Nanna and Opa at home!

Day 25 - Tandem Post... What's In Your Glovebox?
The other day, Dale showed me a picture on Facebook that basically pointed out the difference between how clean a woman's car is, compared to a man's, which gave me the idea for today's tandem post... who do you think had the most rubbish in their glovebox? Me or Dale? You can see the results of his glovebox photo over at Another Project 366 Sheep Joins the Herd.
So here are the contents of my glovebox in some detail.
1. Sat nav with fleecy bag, not working at the moment because I broke the cord
2. Birthday card from 5M, given to me in 2009
3. One blue biro
4. One glasses cleaning cloth
5. An unidentified charger for something or other
6. An empty chip packet, cheese and onion flavour
7. Strand of green beads from Dale's work Christmas party some years ago
8. Bart Simpson CD case (used to be Dale's - now filled with any CDs we have 2 copies of, for long drives when the iPod battery is flat)
9. Assorted plastic items - CD tray, ziplock bag and a wrapper
10. Two expired gym membership cards
11. Plastic cap for iPod cord
12. Dale's business card which says I Heart You on the back
13. Collection of shells from a trip to Eden
14. Pile of random receipts
15. Pile of random papers, including a photocopy of Mum's birth certificate and an indemnity form from Phillip Island (thanks Dale)
16. Hottest 100 Volume 15 cover, Freebie Aus Music CD that came in the SMH about 8 years ago, AC/DC Live and Gotye CDs
17. Ten Cents
18. Reflector from Dale's trailer
19. One I nearly missed because you almost can't see it in the picture... a set of Nokia earphones, which might be Dale's because I don't think I have ever owned a Nokia!
So what's in your glovebox? Feel free to share and link back!
